Where Care Meets Compassion

Our Story
Safe Swallow Hub was founded to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and everyday care practice. Individuals with dysphagia are often supported by carers, support workers, personal assistants, and healthcare staff who play a vital role in implementing swallowing recommendations on a day-to-day basis. While guidance may be provided by healthcare professionals, staff can sometimes feel uncertain about how to apply recommendations confidently and consistently in real-world situations.
Safe Swallow Hub was created to help address this challenge by providing specialist dysphagia and mealtime management training that is practical, engaging, and relevant to everyday care. Our training is designed to equip care teams with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to support individuals with swallowing difficulties safely and effectively. We focus on helping staff understand not only what they need to do, but also why it matters, promoting greater confidence, consistency, and person-centred care. Through a combination of current evidence, practical learning, and specialist knowledge, we support organisations to improve mealtime safety, enhance quality of care, and develop a proactive approach to recognising and managing swallowing difficulties.
Why Choose Clinician-Led Training?
Training delivered by a Speech and Language Therapist brings specialist clinical expertise directly into your service. Drawing on real-world experience, sessions are tailored to the needs of your care setting, helping staff develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support individuals with dysphagia safely and effectively.
Participants benefit from practical guidance, evidence-informed learning, and opportunities to explore real-life challenges within their own care environment. This approach enhances understanding, promotes best practice, and supports the safe and consistent implementation of dysphagia recommendations in everyday care.
